About
I came to coaching in 2006 or should I say coaching came
to me.  Before coaching, I worked as a Ph.D. research
scientist and explored the molecular biology and genetics
of fungi that infect important crops such as wheat at Oregon
State University.  After about 7 years at OSU, I wanted more
lucrative work in an area with more opportunities so I
switched directions and worked as a research scientist
and lab manager at Oregon Health & Sciences University
studying the intricacies of the immune system in
mammals.

Science was interesting, but a whisper within me began to
grow louder and said it was time for a major career change
that involved empowering, helping, and connecting with
people, and developing and using my heart and inner
wisdom.  At the time, I wasn’t sure what job would fit that
role until synchronicity blessed me and I began working as
a Success Coach (a form of life coaching) at InsideTrack.

I enjoyed coaching at InsideTrack.  Nevertheless, I needed
something else.  For my entire life I had always worked
under someone else.  I realized that this approach was no
longer fully serving me.  I wanted to call the shots and to be
fully responsible for my success, which naturally led me to
start my own life coaching business.

My diverse and winding path has been exciting,
challenging,  rewarding, and frightening.  Because of this
diversity I bring a nice balance of Heart (wisdom, love, and
compassion) and Mind (intellect and knowledge).  I know
first hand what it's like to accept and step through fear, to
look deep within, and to make positive changes.  My
journey has also taught me the amazing power of beliefs.  I
truly believe that our thoughts have a huge impact on our
reality.

Besides coaching, some of my passions include playing
outdoors
cross country and telemark skiing, hiking,
climbing, and backpacking.  I love to cook, play guitar, and
enjoy exploring consciousness, metaphysics (the quantum
world), and personal development.   I’m also a big believer
in the benefits of yoga and meditation.  Mountains have a
special place in my heart and are a source of power,
healing, and inspiration.
